According to studies, the hair growth–promoting effects of rosemary oil may be comparable to those of medications used for hair loss.

• Stimulates hair follicles: rosemary improves scalp circulation, nourishing follicles and promoting hair growth. Studies have shown that rosemary oil may be as effective as minoxidil (a hair growth medication) in treating male pattern baldness, but without side effects such as scalp itching.
